At the 2010 Coopersville Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner Meeting CCS Technologies was presented with this year’s Service Provider of the Year award. Coopersville Chamber Executive Director Cindy Timmerman presented the award with some very kind comments. To quote Cindy, “CCS Technologies is going to be celebrating their 35th year in business in January. The IT business has evolved rapidly and CCS Technologies has been able to morph their business to meet the technology needs of their customers. It is rare for a business of this nature to have survived the many advances in technology, and not only has CCS survived, but thrived and recently opened their second location in downtown Grand Haven.”

Spring Lake native opens technology services, products store in Grand Haven: GRAND HAVEN — There’s a new electronics retail and service store in downtown Grand Haven. Greg Slater has opened up a local branch of CCS Technologies in the building he recently purchased at 206 Washington.

The shelves of office supplies filling the downtown Coopersville storefront of CCS Technologies are a bit misleading as to the nature of the 30-year-old technology firm. “When we moved downtown, they said, ‘Please put in office supplies; we don’t want to have to go to Alpine (Avenue),” explained CCS Technologies founder and President Greg Slater. Although the stretch of Randall Street that leads from downtown Coopersville to the I-96 expressway is rapidly expanding with strip malls and shopping plazas, the nearest office supply store is still 14 miles away on the Alpine Avenue commercial corridor in Walker.
